You have all thought my incessant Eva picture taking is interesting enough to warrant over 3,000 views! So, you all either 1) really love Eva or 2) need more work to do. Or, like me, it's both- ha
So, while I'm here, waiting for Eva to fall asleep so the 2 person New Year's Eve party can begin at our house, I'll post about something that's been on my mind. I love that timeless, feminine names are making a come back for girls. Little girls of my family/friends/people I stalk on facebook include gems such as Isabella, Emma, Eva/Ava, Savannah, Lily, Violet, Scarlet, Gemma, Elena, Sophia, Victoria, Maria, Johanna, Avery and many more I'm sure I'm forgetting. Yay for girly girls and pink and ribbons and playing dress up!
Edit: oh and I forgot about other newer, yet still super girly names like Rya and Kiah (which should rhyme, if you're saying them correctly). And the boys are awesomely manly too; Jack, Nolan, Will(iam), Mason, Oliver, Wyatt, Collin... love it!

2010
As 2010 comes to a close, I find myself remembering the highs and lows of the past year and looking forward to 2011.
Highs:
- Finally getting hitched! Jason & I figured a 3 year engagement was long enough ;-)
- Being home with SassyPantsLaRoo and watching her turn into a mini-me
- Getting back to the gym and being more active, for both Jason & myself
- Jason finding a job with a golf course close to home with great, long term potential
- Making new friends! The older we get, the harder it is to meet new people. I've met some great people this year and strengthened other friendships- here's looking at you Mrs. Olsson
- Watching so many friends get married. Maria & Jimmy tied the knot in January, Anthony & Alicia in June and Casey & Steve in September. 2010 is the year when all the cool kids got married, duh.
- Going to Mexico with Jen for Maria's wedding. I laughed so much on this trip my stomach hurt.
Lows:
I was going to put a list here of all the negative things from the past year... but I think I'll pass.
I caught myself complaining about having to carry so many groceries in when we got home from the store last night. I stopped myself before I bitched too much and thought, "how dare I?" Am I really complaining about the 45 extra seconds this bag of food will take to carry inside when 25,000 people starve to death every day? In the time it took that bag of food to go from my garage to my kitchen, nearly 13 people died, 9 of them were children. Not from cancer or car accidents, from hunger. So this year, my resolution is to be thankful every single day for the amazing blessings I have in my life. To not complain when my dunn brothers coffee isn't exactly how I like it, or I break a nail, or I don't have money for a new outfit... or any other ridiculous thing I have been known to complain about.

I have a healthy child, a happy marriage, a safe home and I never go to bed hungry.
Life is good.

Eagle's Nest Play Place
Since my days at home with Eva are numbered- she's starting daycare again in a few weeks when Jason & I both start classes- we took today to go to the in-door play place and let off some steam and scope out a location for her 3rd birthday party. It'll be her golden birthday so it's going to be a big one!
She is getting a little too big for the under 3 toddler area but is still a bit timid in the older kid area so it's a balancing act sometimes. When all else fails, she can always RUN!

Christmas Day
Christmas 2010- I can't believe the year is almost over. Eva was good this year so Santa came last night and brought lots of fun stuff. She also slept in later than normal so Mommy and Daddy were happy too. After stockings and presents we went to Baba's for dinner with my grandparents, great aunt Marion and Baba's main squeeze Richard.

So confused at the markers not coloring anywhere but on the paper- yay special magic markers! |

5 minute snooze with Daddy |
Coffee time! |
Yup, I give my toddler sips of coffee. She loves it. Plus, I want to stunt her growth so she stays small and can become an Olympic gymnast. |
Another 5 minute snooze in Baba's arms |
