We went trick-or-treating in Ramsey with Bradley and Brooke and then headed down to Baba's house to hit up a few more houses.
We all went in our Green Bay Packers gear because, let's be honest, after today there's no point in cheering for the Vikings anymore. It got a bit cold when the sun went down but it was great watching Eva say "trick or treat" and "thank you" so many times. There were tons of houses giving out candy this year and Eva now has more candy than she could eat in a year!

Roller Derby
My bff Maria is pretty badass. So badass in fact, that she is on the North Star Roller Girls. For those of you who don't know what roller derby is, it's basically full contact roller skating around a big loop where teams try to advance their own skaters while blocking the opposing team. Maria was drafted to the Violet Femmes this year- 1 of only 2 rookies taken- and her first bout was Friday night at the Mpls Convention Center.
Maria looked awesome out there with all the other veteran girls and, despite watching her fall a few times (they all do!) it was a lot of fun!
This photo isn't Maria but gives you an idea of what it looks like live!

Let the Halloween Celebrations begin
This will be Eva's 3rd Halloween but the first time she's really understanding the concept of candy, costumes, parties etc. Today we went to a Spooktacular event at Lifetime Fitness (our gym) and Eva wore her second costume, a Green Bay Packers cheerleader.
I'll post more pictures tomorrow after we go trick-or-treating!

Mommy's New Tattoo
Today I went with my best friend Maria to St. Sabrina's in Uptown to get our new tattoos!
We've been talking about it for years but finally got around to it now that we're both married and we were each other's maids of honor. It is a custom piece that we came up with that's a combination of the Roman numeral 12 and the Latin word illis. The numeral is for the age we were when we first met and the month of both of our birthdays, the color is our December birthstone color and the "illis" that starts and ends the tattoo (the II of the XII and the double L become one) is the feminine, plural form of what means "by these"- as in "a life is enriched by these friendships."
Here are some photos.
Up next: Jason & I are getting song lyrics together... whenever we can find the money.
