Doggie Swimming

Tyson is a total water dog despite the fact that he's built like his dad, stocky and good for power, but not cardio :-)  He gases out after about 20 minutes of throwing the ball out into the lake for him to retrieve but, I probably can't do much better so I shouldn't judge!

Eva, as always, does whatever Jason does and throws/yells/sits just like her Daddy.

Spring Concert

So the auditorium was too dark to get a lot of good pictures but Eva's end of the year concert was tonight.  They sang songs like "Achey Breakey Heart" and even Michael Buble!  She continues to be the cutest damn thing I've ever seen, but I'm not bias or anything.

Gipsy Kings

Last night my mom and I went to see the Gipsy Kings at the State Theater.  It was a great concert and the Gipsy Kings were the first concert I ever saw... 15 years ago!  Ahhh memories.

Olsson Dinner - May

We've been slacking on getting together with the Olsson clan for dinner every month, but we finally made it happen last night.  It was at our house and I made BBQ and even the kids liked it.  We finished the night with watching WCCO tornado weather alerts and listening to the sirens go off; almost had me believing in the End of Days mumbo-jumbo... almost- ha!

Playing hard = red cheeks!

Water break

Ring around the rosey

Pocket full of posey... ashes ashes

We all fall down!

Swedish!

So the battle over the nationalities has begun in our house.  I, being of superior blood, feel that Eva should embrace her Swedish roots over her boring ol' Irish Daddy's heritage.  For those of you who don't know, Jason is as Irish as they come, so Eva is actually twice as much Irish as she is Swedish (50% vs 25%).  But no matter, her true homeland will prevail.  Daddy didn't even know what erin go bragh meant until Mommy told him!

A celtric cross tattoo does not a true Irishmen make my dear, just remember that ;-) ha

"Jag är en svenska flicka" = I am a Swedish girl!

Walk with Miss Sassy Pants

Okay so Eva isn't very sassy at all.  She has her moments where she tests her limits, but overall she is a wonderfully behaved toddler and we've yet to have the terrible 2s (so I think we're in the clear!?)

But I call her Miss Sassy Pants because of the goofy/sassy poses she always makes.  Like these from our walk around the neighborhood today.

170th Post!

In honor of my 170th blog post I wanted to take a moment to say I can't believe how much stuff a family of 2.5 can accumulate!  And we aren't even rich, by America standards at least.

Alas, we live in the land of excess, so I really shouldn't be surprised.  Take, for example, Jason's DVD collection or Eva's closest.

Yes, that is a floor to ceiling custom made DVD stand, because commercial ones don't fit over 1,000 DVDs.
And this isn't even 80% of what he has!

This is one of Eva's closets... and I won't even show you her dresser drawers or stacks of huge bins filled with clothes that are in our garage.

No wonder poor countries despise us so much....

Surprise for Eva

Grandma Peggy & Grandpa Bryan surprised Eva with a brand new Dora trike in the mail this week.  She now has a convertible, a jeep, a trike and 2 strollers... too bad she doesn't have any cool toys huh!? ha
