Snack Pack Sunday

My mom has a group of friends that she has known since before I was born- Eva is now a 3rd generation "snack pack-er"- and today we all got together for a potluck at my mom's.  It's always a fun time seeing my honorary aunties- laughing, eat too much food- and this time Eva even made a friend with another 3rd generation-er who is exactly 1 week older than she is.  A good time was had by all!

Night Gown

There is a cute little non-chain clothing store in Anoka that I visited last week.  Everything in it was pretty pricey, so I only ended up buying 1 thing- a fleece night gown for Eva that's pink and covered in ballet slippers.  She has worn in every night but 1 since I brought it home so I wanted to take some pictures for her to look back at one day.

Baking stuff in her kitchen (yes, I know we need a better one!)

Minnesota Children's Museum

Eva and I went to the Children's Museum in St. Paul today with my trainer/friend Matt's wife Erin and their two boys, Ray & Jack who are 4 & 3 years old.  I love making new friends and it's a total bonus when they have kids Eva's age :-)

This was a blue screen type setting where the kids had instruments and it projected up on a TV as a music video

Missing In Action

Sorry I've been so bad about blogging lately, things have just become so busy!  Work is going great.  I really like my position and I think I'm doing well so far, but you'd be surprised how much 10 hours a week (i.e. working 30 hours vs 40 hours) really doesn't give me as much more free time to get things done as I would have thought.

My Litigation class is going well and my Contracts Law class is really kick ass.  However, I might be a little too goodie-goodie because the professor actually said to me, out loud in front of everyone after I had given an example of a type of contract, "well... I think you can just skip the rest of lecture since you obviously know all of this."  She was being funny (I think) but I still turned bright red and didn't say anything else for the rest of class.  Hey lady, it's not my fault everyone else in here is either stupid or mute.

Things have also been going really well at church.  LaRae and her kids came with us again last weekend and today Baba and I did a prayer retreat.  It was really moving and helped me realize how much all my prayers are about me- my needs, my desires, my thanksgivings etc- and how I need to look at them in many different ways to truly be praying "effectively" and for the glory of God.

Doughnuts at church- Super Bowl Sunday.

Yay Packers!!!

Let's ALL bug LaRae while she tries to go pee! ha

Pretty Pretty Princess

Eva demands, yes demands, that we put a dress and high heels on the moment we walk in the door from daycare everyday... this is what we have as entertainment every night :-)
